Program: Parenting Enhancement Program (PEP)

Description of Services: Providing training and support to parents with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have been deemed eligible for support through Developmental Services Ontario * team of therapists teach families skills to make them more self-sufficient and reinforce positive behaviours and communication to build healthy positive relationships * aim to reduce the risks of child neglect and abuse to promote the cognitive and physical development of children

Offers the following parenting groups:
  • Prenatal (during pregnancy)
  • Postnatal (1-1 years old)
  • Early Childhood (1-4 years old)

Fees: Free
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: For eligibility for DSO only - call DSO (1-855-372-3858/211 or dsotr@surreyplace.ca) * For parents 18 years and over with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Application: Once eligibility is confirmed by DSO, email Adult Intake - adult.intake@surreyplace.ca and ask them to make a referral to PEP
