Program: Clinical Groups
Organization: Community Head Injury Resource Services of Toronto (CHIRS)
Description of Services: Groups are facilitated by or directly supervised by a member of the clinical team, and are psycho-educational or goal directed in nature * most groups are 12 weeks in duration and held weekly * pre-screening is required to ensure participants have the cognitive, communication and behavioural abilities to benefit from the group * groups being offered virtually and in-person

  • positive psychology
  • skills for emotional well-being
  • cTech
  • men's group
  • women's group
Requirements
Fees: Set fee * subsidy available for eligible participants
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Adults 18-60 years, living with the effects of an acquired brain injury * groups are recommended for individuals who are willing to engage with peers and have the potential to generate skills learned to settings outside of the group
